“Data is the New Oil” is the mantra, and for good reason. The past decade has seen an amazing transformation of business. Today, seven of the world’s top 10 largest listed companies by market capitalization are from the IT sector. Contrast that with just ten years ago when the list was dominated by energy and financial sector players.
“These new leaders, who have so rapidly gained global dominance, have one thing in common. They have mastery over data”, says Colin Christie, Dean of Digital Transformation at Enderun Colleges. “The lesson is that to thrive in business today, you must constantly innovate, and you must gain the skills and competencies needed for competitive advantage in today’s digital economy.”
Digital Transformation is bringing new opportunities to some, and disruption to others. For example, the 1.3 million-strong BPO workforce in the Philippines faces disruption with 89 percent of employees in the Philippines at high risk from robotic process automation, according to the International Labor Organization (ILO).
To address these challenges and opportunities, Enderun Colleges and Global Chamber® Manila are presenting the next event in their Digital Transformation Series, entitled “Big Data & Analytics Summit 2017”, to be held this November 15.
This year’s theme is “Big Data Made Simple” and the summit features keynote presentations and practical workshops from industry experts who will openly share their best practices and insights and put you on the path to becoming future leaders in today’s data-driven economy.
